SaiVinod led the development of an innovative Elevated Cart & Checkout Experience for CVS Health's pharmacy application. This project aimed to revolutionize the digital refill process and improve overall customer satisfaction in the Digital Health space.
The main goal was to create an intuitive cart experience with various fulfillment options, clear delivery address inputs, and straightforward call-to-action buttons. By streamlining user interactions, the project sought to increase conversion rates and reduce cart abandonment, ultimately maintaining or improving the 90% completion rate for digital refills.
Sai Vinod and his team built an independent cart experience using a modernized framework, allowing for reusable components, consistent design, and continuous improvement. They implemented a familiar Digital Health fill and checkout flow, enabling customers to easily choose when and where to receive their prescriptions, view estimated out-of-pocket costs, and securely capture payment information when required.
Key features of the project included:
Development of responsive Angular components for cart and checkout pages
Implementation of state management solutions using NgRx
Creation of Experience APIs for seamless backend integration
Custom shipping and tracker components for real-time order status updates
Utilization of RxJS for efficient handling of asynchronous data streams
The project's impact extended beyond mere technical achievements. It significantly enhanced the customer experience by reducing inbound calls, increasing digital adoption and utilization, and improving the foundational refill experience. This, in turn, led to healthier Early to Market Metrics (ETMMs) for the company.
By bringing the digital pharmacy cart and checkout experience in line with familiar Digital Health Technology platforms, SaiVinod's work has set a new standard in the healthcare sector.
