“#5525" is a large-scale tour by Mayday for their 25th anniversary. The innovative stage design utilized the concept of a time machine to explore multiple issues across time and space and sang uninterruptedly from the first album in 1999 to the ninth album in 2016. In addition to performing the classics of each album, the visual design also linked the band's history and fans' memories together. In the coda, Mayday expressed their gratitude to each other's family and friendship, to their fans, and to the past, cherishing the present and looking to the future, which triggered the audience's reflections and feelings that each present moment eventually became a touch in the future. The whole program is not only a presentation of music, but also an in-depth exploration of innovation, technology, and humanistic care.
Breaking away from the previous 2D screen, the stage has a 12-meter diameter and five 5-meter 3D LED spheres with 13,000 pieces of special-specification LED. Their surfaces are seamlessly spliced together to create a three-dimensional space where images can be seen more clearly. As the performance progresses, it can be an earth, moon, balloon, etc., or a soul, brainwave, memory. The visualization method visualizes the music and allows the singer to interact with the stage, making the performance more powerful. The console area was integrated into the stage design as a hemisphere while the base of the stage is also equipped with LED, which can extend the images to match the spheres.
Stage facilities are all built to standard specifications for dismantling and reuse, in line with the environmental concept of reducing waste and increasing the reuse of resources.
The interactive lighting stick held by fans can be reused by repairing different seats and creating patterns to be a part of the lighting design for each concert. In addition, fans can control the color of it at fan gatherings, or enjoy the lighting effects written in the videos when watching artist’s online videos at home, thus enhancing the efficiency of resource utilization.
