Afterlane is a concept AI companion designed for the long aftermath of a car accident, the weeks of paperwork, the months of recovery, and everything that continues while the user is still healing.

Most existing solutions focus on the moment of impact. They detect the crash, call emergency services, and help file an initial report. But the real burden begins after. Medical decisions must be made without clarity. Insurance processes are complex and time consuming. Recovery extends far beyond the incident itself.

Afterlane is built for that after.

It acts as a continuous guide, especially for first time accident survivors who often feel overwhelmed and unsure what to do next. Whether the situation is urgent or routine, Afterlane supports users in real time, from documenting calls with insurance adjusters to capturing important details they may otherwise forget.

At its core, Afterlane addresses two challenges: emotional distress and informational chaos.

It provides emotional support through simple, accessible interventions such as guided breathing, journaling, and check ins, helping users regain a sense of control during moments of anxiety.

At the same time, it records and organizes the entire recovery process, including conversations, receipts, medical records, and delayed symptoms. This fragmented information is transformed into a structured timeline that can be easily accessed over time.

A key innovation is its ability to convert a single user narrative into multiple outputs. With one input, Afterlane generates tailored documentation for different stakeholders, including legal records for lawyers, medical summaries for doctors, claim reports for insurers, and simplified updates for family members.

Rather than acting as a tool or a tracker, Afterlane redefines software as a companion that reduces cognitive load during one of the most complex and vulnerable periods in a user’s life.
