The 2025 Yehliu Night Tours – Queen’s Head Illumination continues to establish Yehliu Geopark as Taiwan’s leading night tourism destination, transforming the iconic Queen’s Head rock formation into a new realm of artistic expression after dark. Building on the foundation of previous editions, this year’s event features refreshed lighting design, advanced projection mapping, and enhanced interactive installations, all seamlessly integrated with the park’s unique geological landscape.
Eight themed zones are curated to tell distinct stories of nature, culture, and geological wonder. Visitors follow a carefully designed night trail, journeying through laser shows, immersive light installations, and postcard-like dreamscapes. The illumination of the Queen’s Head remains the emotional centerpiece, brought to life through dynamic lighting that highlights its contours while adhering to environmental protection guidelines to preserve this fragile formation.
The event is guided by three core pillars of sustainability:
Economic: Revitalizing local industries through night tourism and boosting resident income.
Environmental: Using energy-efficient LED lighting and reusable structures to reduce ecological impact and light pollution.
Social and Cultural: Featuring the signature “Queen’s Costume Show,” community co-creation, local art, markets, and cultural heritage to foster public participation and regional identity.
Held during Taiwan’s peak summer travel season, the event not only delivers a spectacular visual experience but also attracts both domestic and international visitors, encouraging longer stays and stimulating the local economy. Through the fusion of technology, sustainability, and cultural storytelling, Yehliu Night Tours redefines night tourism year after year—turning a natural landmark into a luminous stage for creativity, connection, and celebration.
