2025 Bali Sand Sculpture

Situated in the serenely picturesque Bali Riverside Park in New Taipei City, the Bali City Sand Sculpture Exhibition showcases an urban art experience that intergrates waterfront culture, public art, and immersive technology. It has successfully generated an annual artistic event that includes visual appeal and meaningful urban significance.Entering its eighth of editions in 2025, the exhibition adopts the globally renowned animation “Digimon” as its creative theme, presenting for the first time a hybrid installation that combines sand sculptures and light sculptures reaching up to four meters in height. The Project pushed the boundaries of public art through a forward-looking "Mixed-Media Symbiosis Strategy". By deconstructing and reorganizing sand sculptures, driftwood, and marine debris, we integrate advanced digital illumination to create an immersive fantasy that transcends generational and material limits within a historical site. It is not only a contemporary translation of traditional craft but an innovative integration of sustainability and digital technology By extending along the riverbank, the sand sculpture exhibition becomes a flowing open-air art gallery. We integrate interactive installations to bridge the gap between viewers and the artwork, creating an immersive space for dialogue. The landscape transforms from day to night, offering ever-changing visual charm. The exhibition pave the way for four chapters—“Origin,” “Crest Trials,” “Journey of Growth,” and “Final Evolution.” Guided by interactive media and narrative storytelling, visitors embark on an exploratory journey of courage, companionship, and so on. This summer, we invite professional sculptors to teach. Take for the children aged 8–15 at the heart of the roles, the azure coastline becomes a place of tactile discovery and spatial imagination. The artworks are no longer confined to display cases, but transformed into a warm, accessible part of everyday life. Particularly, the event creates a cross-disciplinary interaction that combines an online personality test with physical light-and-shadow installations. The place that Allows visitors to discover their own “Chosen Partner”, the interaction then triggers personalized lighting effects, showcasing an innovative model of virtual–physical integration. 2025 Bali Sand Sculpture: Shattering boundaries, reshaping imagination.
