Thermal Sense

Cars are private spaces, yet cameras are used to meet regulatory requirements for monitoring driver attention and passenger presence, and for L2+ assistant driving. This creates privacy issues. We are introducing a thermal-based in-cabin detection system to address these concerns. Our system uses low-resolution thermal sensors and machine learning algorithms to monitor driver attention and passenger activity. It detects eye closure rates and head movements, providing alerts for drowsiness or distraction, and monitors the cabin for functions like child or pets presence detection, enhancing safety while respecting privacy.
